Why is Solius designed to deliver light to the back of the body?

Solius is designed and FDA cleared to deliver light to the skin on your back. The back provides a large, accessible surface area that is generally flatter than other parts of the body, allowing for more even light distribution and a consistent distance from the device. This enables precise dosing and uniform exposure across the skin. Positioning the device behind you also adds an extra layer of safety. Facing away from the panel helps protect the eyes from direct light exposure and increases awareness of the surrounding environment, including other people or pets in the room.We do not recommend using Solius on the front of the body because it makes it harder to maintain consistent distance and positioning, increases the risk of unintended eye and face exposure, and can interfere with accurate dosing when hands and phones partially block the light panel.
