How do dose levels work?

Before your first therapy, Solius measures your skin to determine a safe starting dose. This starting dose is set at a conservative 40% of your estimated maximum dose. From there, you can adjust your dose up or down in 20% increments based on how your skin responds. Each 20% increment is called a dose level.

Viewing your dose level: Tap Adjust in the Personalized Dose section of the mobile app home screen, or go to Profile > Personalized dose. Your current dose level appears at the top of that screen.

  • "No adjustment" means you haven't changed your dose since your initial skin measurement. This is your starting dose.
  • A negative dose level means your dose has been reduced below your starting dose, typically after reporting skin pinkness, redness, or irritation.
  • A positive dose level means you've chosen to increase your dose above your starting dose.

Current dose levels are color-coded in the app: blue if your current dose is below your starting dose, and yellow if it is above.

Dose adjustment history: At the bottom of the Personalized dose screen, you can review your full dose adjustment history including the date of each adjustment, the dose level at that time, and the corresponding UVB energy dose.
