How do dose levels work?

Before your first therapy, Solius measures your skin to determine a safe starting dose. This starting dose is set at a conservative 40% of your estimated maximum dose. From there, you can adjust your dose up or down in 20% increments based on how your skin responds. Each 20% increment is called a dose level.

After each therapy, the mobile app will ask if you experienced any skin pinkness, redness or irritation lasting longer than a day. If so, your dose will be automatically lowered one level to keep future doses optimized for both safety and maximum health benefits.

If you did not experience any skin color change or irritation after therapy, Solius will give you the option to increase your dose by one level at a time. This gradual adjustment is how your therapy becomes precisely tailored for your skin.

To find your most effective level, increase your dose until you notice a mild, warm pinkness or irritation in your skin — a normal sign your body has reached its maximum dose. Most people reach their maximum dose around five dose level increases, though individual results vary.

Viewing your dose: Tap Adjust in the Personalized Dose section of the mobile app home screen, or go to Profile > Personalized dose. Your current dose appears at the top of that screen.

Dose adjustment history: At the bottom of the Personalized dose screen, you can review your full dose adjustment history including the date of each adjustment, the dose level at that time, and the corresponding UVB energy dose.
