Do I need to purchase a membership at the same time as my device?

In most cases, yes — a membership is required at checkout when purchasing a Solius device. The one exception is if you are purchasing the device as a gift: you can check out without a membership, and the recipient will purchase and activate their membership through the Solius App via the Apple App Store or Google Play when they set up the device.
